How it works

Why RF is not always the best option

RF.png

Jammable

RF links can be disrupted by electronic warfare systems

Detectable

Transmissions can reveal the operator’s location

Interceptable

Adversaries can capture signals and intelligence

Spectrum congestion

Multiple systems competing for limited bandwidth

Limited reliability

In contested environments

Fiber optic control delivers secure, jam-proof communication where RF fails.

Our high-quality fiber-optic spool is designed to ensure reliable communication in contested environments.

The drone is controlled by the pilot via a fiberoptic communication link.

Communication is bi-directional. A real-time video signal is transmitted from the drone through the fiber optic spool, which contrains a precisely wound fiber optic cable.

This cable provides a continuous physical connection between the drone and the signal converter / Ground Control Station.

The Ground Control Station converts and relays the video signal to the pilot and transmits control commands from the pilot back to the drone via the same fiber optic link.
